How close or far away is the subject? What details are emphasized? What is present in the background, if anything?

What is the focal point or emphasis or each of these photographs? What do you look at first? Then describe the path that your eye follows.

What is the mood or feeling created by these photographs?  What does the subject's expression say about him or her? Include visual facts that support your answer.

What do you know or feel for the subject? How has the photographer presented this information visually.

The subject is not far or close. Subject in the photo is realistically took. It emphasizes his yellowy golden eyes the most in detail and mainly his body is emphasized the most than others because it is the subject. In the background, there are lots of lights and snow, it looks like a winter night of a capital city. Two red and blue lights look like they are symbolizing the police. So, I think he is a police or he is a criminal. The first element I look is his face and goes into his eyes secondly. Then to his hair and whole body to the bright red and blue lights. Then mood of this photograph is coldness and darkness. His calm but a bit sensitive facial expression emphasizes and exaggerates the mood of coldness. The detail brown eyes create mysterious character on the photograph, too. The subject feels like a lonesome bachelor, because of his beard, aggressive eyes and color of his hair and clothes.

The distance between viewers and the subject is very close and this photograph emphasized difference between a baby and a man. There is nothing on the background, and I think photographer created it on purpose to emphasize humans' face more than anything so viewers can focus on them only. The focal point of this photograph is edge of the man's face, because there is considered as the divider of subject and the background and the part has the brightest light than any part. Of course, I look and the man's face first than anything because it is on the center of the photograph and has the largest area of overall photograph. And then my eyes go to the baby's face next, especially, I would see his eyes and front face than anything because there is a lot of light and darkness changes and it is closest to the man's face. I think there is no mood at all. If there is one, it would be a very complicated mood such as depression. Because I think this photograph is showing growth of a person, but there is nothing but pitch black background after the man. I think the black background symbolizes the death of a living thing. And there face expression is not positive or negative at all, so it is hard to conclude exact mood of this photograph.

The subject and viewer are not far away from each other, but they are not close at all, neither. This photograph emphasized a boy and his environment. The background is a field behind the boy. This photograph focused on the boy especially,
